ORGANIZATION: Farms to Grow, Inc

After 20 years since first conception and 2 years in post-production, Rhythms of the Land documentary is completed. Rhythms of the Land is a documentary by Dr. Gail Myers an anthropologist and the co-founder of Farms to Grow, Inc.

During the summer of 2012, Dr. Myers toured 10 southern states -- Texas, Arkansas, South Carolina, North Carolina, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Tennessee and Florida -- interviewing over 30 farmers, sharecroppers, and gardeners and a 5th generation coil basket weaver. Several of these interviews are with elders, 98, 92, and 109. Suffice it to say, the wisdom and personalities of the elders' farmers are infectious.

Each interview is woven together to tell the missing narrative after emancipation in the United States. These stories will honor black farmers, sharecroppers, and gardeners, preserve stories and agrarian legacies.

WHERE WE NEED YOUR HELP!

September 2022 kicked off a 12 Month - Multicity Tour, ending with a black-tie celebration in September 2023. Where we will honor the people in the film, community partners, director, producer, postproduction team, donors, sponsors and kick off the next project.

We are looking to build a team of skilled professionals in sponsorship procurement that understand the vision, mission and impact of the project.
