Each year, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society hosts a cycling fundraiser called Bike MS: Tour de Beach. This event raises over $500,000 for programs, services, and research benefitting thousands of people in your region living with multiple sclerosis.
This year's event is scheduled for Saturday September 17 thand Sunday September 18 th. We are in need of 5-10 volunteers (or more) to staff various riders rest stops in the area. Volunteers will support our participants by serving drinks, food, and providing moral support as they ride up to 75 miles each day! We provide all the necessary instructions, supplies and equipment; we just need volunteer support! In addition, we also have many opportunities to help at the Start/Finish line, located at Gulf State Park.

Description
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society funds more MS research, offers more services to people with MS, provides more professional education programs and advances more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world. Through its home office and fifty-state network of chapters, the National MS Society provides assistance to over a million people annually in its continuing mission to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis.
Seeking out and engaging volunteers to the MS cause is at the very core of our business. Each year the Society organizes a series of community events that provide many opportunities for the enthusiastic volunteer. The Society offers key fundraising activities such as The MS150 Bike Ride, MS Walk and Stand Against MS. The Society also engages volunteers to help influence law-makers at the federal, state and municipal levels toward legislation important to people with MS. The Society is looking for passionate volunteers with expertise in areas such as: marketing communications, public relations, corporate and donor development, medical, legal, administrative and organizational expertise.
