We are looking for volunteers who would love to give back to their community, while getting a great workout in!
Our Tuesday meals program is back this season, and we are in need of walking volunteers. The assignment is pretty simple, we provide you a set amount of meals and you can zip through downtown giving away meals to our neighbors without homes or needy neighbors. The meals are already package for delivery, all you will have to do is ask our neighbor would like a free meal. There is a light training video on cultural competency and awareness, however, the training does include a free meal!
Every volunteer is paired with a walking buddy, you do have the option to volunteer alone if you choose.
It is a great way to walk around downtown, get to know the neighborhood, and give back to someone who can't bless you back. The shift is only 2-hours or until you run out meals. An ideal volunteer would be willing to commit to at least 6-weeks of volunteering (6-consecutive Tuesday's for 2-hours).

Mission Statement
We believe in people! Everyday will be the day we set forth the momentum to build the communities we serve. We strive towards innovation, while guided by compassion. We cultivate health promotion programs for youth of color who struggle with homelessness, focusing on youth who identify as queer or aged-out of Foster care.
Description
We are currently a innovative start-up non-profit that hopes to achieve our goal to create a safe space for Youth Men of Color to be coached during this difficult time in their life. We are looking for mentors for a small group of young (18-22) Black/Latino men, mentors commit to 1-year, and meeting with their mentee at least 1-hour a month.
About the Youth and Program: Our youth are high-risk for several disparities currently leading to homelessness. The meeting would be weekly via Microsoft Teams. We would handle all of the IT logistics and training.
