ORGANIZATION: USS Midway Museum

Safety and security are serious matters, and the USS Midway Museum is looking for volunteers who are in good physical shape, alert, and able to project confidence and authority. The Safety Team at the Midway is responsible for keeping the ship, its guests, and its volunteers and employees safe and secure. While past law enforcement and military experience are a plus, they are not necessary to qualify as a safety team member.

Responsibilities include performing bag checks, administering basic first aid, patrolling the tour routes, and assisting guests who get separated from their children. Safety team members interact with guests from around the world and all 50 states as they keep their eyes and ears open for potential concerns. Opportunities exist to work special events (day and evening) as well as regular museum hours.
