Children Across America, a 501c3 non profit located in Milford, MA, has available openings for volunteers for 2023 Saturday STREAM Club(Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts and Math). Within the club we have our Girls Love to Code Club.
Children Across America provides educational programming(STEM) to America's under served children, primarily 1st generation Americans from immigrant families, minorities AND marginalized children ages 4-9 but most of our kids are girls 4-6. The Milford location deals with residents of Milford and the surrounding towns of Blackstone Valley although we will never turn a child away no matter where they live. We are a primarily volunteer organization and all of our services are provided free of charge. We also have a location in Avon, MA.
Our Saturday STREAM Club, which is STEM which we have added reading and arts, was created to give every child the equitable resources to compete in school especially within low income families. Our Girls Love to Code is a subset of our Saturday program from 930-1130 just for girls to encourage them to explore the sciences and pursue as a career. Now that COVID 19 has severely impacted our school year, this program becomes even MORE crucial to help these children be ready for the next grade level. The impact on our children 4-9 year old's is massive.
STEM for young girls is crucial, especially in the minority community. We also work with Minecraft and robotics for the young ones, technology aptitude is critical for these kids and strengthens their math and reading skills.
You do not have to work in the coding if you do not want to.

Children Across America is a 501 (c)(3) (EIN 27-0355388), humanitarian organization. Children Across America provides literacy support and preventative healthcare to underserved children in the United States. Its vision is to empower families and children in low income communities. Its unique programs are focused on improving children’s educational excellence and health. The organization partners with local libraries, school systems healthcare advocates and hospitals to ensure children get the full benefit of its programs. We provide a free alternative program to underserved families with students in grades K-5, who can't afford a private tutor, or professional tutoring services such as Kaplan or Kumon.
Description
CAA has a combination of medical and educational programming.
Our main educational program is a STEM and Coding program for all children. We also focus on children K-5 grade that come from families that English is not their first language. Our Summer Reading and Math Club (Children's Book Club) and our Saturday Reading and Math club's goal is to raise the level of literacy in America's children. Our Math Clubs are to help develop children's basic math skills. We help all children but our main focus is the underserved population of America. Our signature program is our Summer STREAM and Girls Love to Code Club, that runs from July through August and our Saturday STREAM and Girls Love to Code Club that runs each Saturday.
Our main medical program and focus of our medical programming is Health Promotion in motion. This is a immunization and preventative healthcare initiative focused on making sure every child in America is immunized per CDC guidelines and has healthcare coverage. We are a vendor for the State for Mass healthcare signps.
