COLLEGE VOLUNTEERS
ORGANIZATION: Compassus Hospice
Please visit the new page to apply.
Are you a college student interested in the medical field and want to give back to your community? If so, volunteering for hospice can give you the opportunity to earn service hours for your resume as well as clinical experience! Hospice volunteers play a very important role in providing social support and companionship for terminally ill patients and their families. A few responsibilities may include: reading to patients, doing crafts, taking them outside in their wheelchair, accompanying them to a meal, writing letters, or playing card games. Whatever your responsibilities may be, you are bound to make a difference in the patient's life!
All volunteers must complete a volunteer application and training, pass a TB test and finger printing, have reliable transportation, be at least 18 years of age, and be fully vaccinated for Covid-19.
If you are interested in learning more, please contact our volunteer coordinator Vicky Cantrell at 918-323-6785 or Vicky.Cantrell@compassus.com
