Red Cross House (University City, Philadelphia) Reception and Intake Support

The perfect desk volunteer role to match your schedule!

The Reception and Intake Support Volunteer supports the Red Cross House, a short-term recovery center for families displaced by disaster in the Greater Philadelphia region. This position is responsible for managing the front desk and reception area at the Red Cross House.

  • Answering client questions/letting them in the front door
  • Answering phones
  • Supporting the intake process
  • Helping to serve meals during mealtimes
  • Providing excellent customer service to Red Cross House residents
  • Working closely with Red Cross House employees and volunteers.

There are three shifts every day, Monday through Friday at the following times: 8AM - 12PM; 12PM - 4PM; and 4PM - 8PM. Volunteers are expected to commit to at least one shift per week.
