The Branchline Editor produces the branch newsletter 11 times per year as the primary method of communicating with branch members. Your main task will be to compile the information emailed by members into a single newsletter. We usually set the submission deadline as the second Sunday or the 15th of the month and the editor has approximately a week to compile everything before it needs to be sent to the printer.

Some common tasks are below but they can be adapted.

  • Compiles the newsletter for the months of August through June/July (11 issues per year).
  • Attends branch meetings when possible to gather information (optional).
  • Creates a PDF of the finished copy and e-mails it to the Communications Director for distribution to members with e-mail addresses.
  • E-mails a PDF of the finished copy to the printer in time to ensure postal delivery to members who have no email addresses before the last day of the month.
  • Works with the Branchline mailer to ensure that the preparation for mailing is done in a timely and efficient manner in order to meet the above deadline.
