Work as a team to run a food concessions booth at the Texas Rangers vs. the Washington Nationals games. All proceeds will go to surgeries to prevent blindness via the George Foundation for Sight Restoration. Volunteers must commit to working on both Friday, June 24 (8:05 p.m. game; earlier arrival) and Saturday, June 25 (4:05 p.m. game; earlier arrival). A brief pre-work training will be held on another day. Food will be provided for volunteers. Interested volunteers should contact Tasha George Green at tasha@tylock.com or at 972-209-0124 (text). Mission Statement
The George Foundation for Sight Restoration (GFSR) is devoted to restoring sight with surgery, medication, and education, for qualifying patients who have a financial need; in addition, Dr. Michael George and his team are committed to providing community education and resources for vision health.
Description
The George Foundation for Sight Restoration, started by opthalmologist Dr. Michael George, has been an active nonprofit for one year, and has prevented low vision and/or blindness in a minimum of one patient per month at no charge to those patients with financial need.
The (GFSR) is devoted to enhancing and restoring sight with surgery, medication, and education, for qualifying patients who have financial needs; in addition, Dr. Michael George and his team are committed to providing community education and resources for vision health. Valued volunteers play a vital role in fundraising, and community education.
The GFSR is supported solely by generous charitable donations from individuals, grateful patients, private foundations, corporate matching gifts, and an annual fundraising event. No government or third-party funding of any other kind is received by the GFSR.

- Looking for energetic, positive volunteers who work well in a team environment. Selected volunteers who do well will have the opportunity to work at additional Rangers games.
