We are looking for volunteer Board Members to help move our organization forward and into the future. Our Board Members are active Board Members and are responsible for working with the Executive Director on the organization's strategic plan, fundraising, programming opportunities, and serving on committees. We are specifically looking for volunteers who are passionate about making a difference in their community, and looking to gain Board Member experience on a small non-profit board. Must be available for bi-monthly Board Meetings and able to serve on at least one committee. Time commitment is roughly 4-6 hours per month but can vary based on projects. Bonus if you have legal, human resources or fundraising skills.

Mission Statement
HOPE Network’s mission is to provide women parenting alone in Milwaukee and the surrounding area with resources to build self-reliance and strong families.
Description
Since 1982, HOPE Network, has been serving single mothers in greater Milwaukee with programs designed to support their entire parenting journey.
Expectant mothers often find HOPE Network through referral by a community partner. For $5, they can join HOPE Network and receive infant supplies, safe sleep education, and ongoing connection. Our quarterly Sharing HOPE newsletter publishes ongoing resources of unique interest to single mothers. And membership provides access to enrichment opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach. Over the years, members have enjoyed canoeing, bowling, Summerfest, Brewers & Bucks games, local museums, and more.
Our help also contributes to the family’s future. Through our scholarships, which can be used for tuition or for childcare while the mother is in school, single mothers can attend college or technical school. With higher earning power, they provide more stability for their children. With a degree, they inspire their children to pursue their education.
