Do you have a passion for solving family homelessness but need to work remotely?

Do you have experience managing and updating websites?

Are dependable, responsible and detail oriented?

Do you want to make a difference in our community when you volunteer?

Family Promise of Metro East is looking for a Website Ninjaneer.

The right candidate will have experience building, managing and updating websites to increase public visibility and interaction with the website. They will be able to give 2-3 hours per week and be able to work with a team, research best practices, and respond to requests for updates in a relatively timely manner.

The successful candidate will:

  • Create and update content for the Family Promise of Metro East website, adhering to the Family Promise Style Guide.
  • Collect and analyze digital analytics, then optimizing the website based on the data collected.
  • Know that they are helping to end family homelessness, one family at a time. Because every child deserves a safe and warm place to sleep at night.

Description

Family Promise of Metro East (serving NE & SE Portland, Oregon) helps our community coordinate to compassionately address the root causes of family homelessness. Our goal is to address the issue holistically, providing prevention services before families reach crisis, shelter and case management when they become homeless, and stabilization programs once they have secured housing to ensure they remain independent. We tap existing local resources to empower families towards economic stability. Families come to us in crisis; we help them rebuild their lives with new skills and ongoing support using a community based model.
