You can make a difference! Help us by helping kids do arts and crafts, and even read the weekly story! Our educator, Anne, sets up a craft and story each week and lays out all the materials. We need you to help kids with instructions, keep supplies organized, and help clean up. No experience necessary! Just patience with kids (who are supervised by their parents).
Check out dates and sign up here:

We also have Mobile Museum events all around the region! These events are all about learning and doing fun activities! Each of those events is at a different location!

About Great Lakes Children's Museum

13240 S West Bay Shore Dr, Traverse City, MI 49684, US

Mission Statement

The Great Lakes Children's Museum creates hands-on, interactive and informal educational environments for children and the adults in their lives that invite curiosity, allow exploration, and celebrate the child-like wonder in all of us.

Volunteers are vital to making the Museum run smoothly. Volunteers make it possible for the Museum to offer exciting, educational, safe experiences for all our visitors. Contributing your time and skills benefits our community, while developing new skills and interests, meeting new friends, and making a difference in the life of a child. The Museum provides endless challenges for creativity, imagination, and exploration, and is currently looking for help to fulfill its mission. There is a variety of volunteer opportunities available, from one-time to short and long term.
