Trained volunteer counselors help others understand their Medicare and commercial insurance benefits and coverages, compare Medicare prescription drug plans, and complete applications for the government programs that help pay Medicare expenses. This free counseling is provided by phone or in-person.
Volunteer duties may include, but are not limited to: Provide telephone or in-person APPRISE counseling; assist the APPRISE Coordinator; make referrals to necessary agencies/programs; mail requested literature; and help with public presentations. Training is provided and successful completion is a requirement.

Description
The Senior Volunteer Program of Venango County provides opportunities for people age 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. SVP of Venango County volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to many hours a week, helping to make Venango County a great place to live!
