ORGANIZATION: Tri-County Veterans Support Network

Tri-County Veterans Support Network is where our Charleston community comes together to support
our local veterans and families in need.

Please help us serve our local veterans and families using your gifts and talents by volunteering with the Weatherization, Auto Repair, & Maintenance Platoon (WARM Platoon)!

Are you handy with auto repairs? Can you perform simple home maintenance repairs or tasks? The WARM Platttoon is an excellent opportunity to share your expertise where resources are limited or non-existent in the local community.

WARM Volunteers assist with painting, carpentry, sheetrock, plumbing, electrical, A/C, etc... with the Veteran Housing Program for Homeless Veterans, assist veterans in the community, and help aging veterans who find it difficult to perform specific maintenance tasks around their homes.

Volunteers who can perform simple auto repairs assist veterans, military members, and their families who are of limited means and need simple auto repairs to keep their vehicles running correctly for employment, errands, or doctor appointments.

Tri-County Veterans Support Network is a 501(c)(3) comprised of many veteran service agencies across
the Charleston Tri-County area. We are committed to collaboratively working together to identify veterans and
families in crisis in our community and help them navigate their way to stability. In 2021, we identified and
served 838 veterans and families needing assistance and helped provide 412 emergency night stays in a hotel.

Patriot Housing Project
One of the greatest resources they need is a safe home which is affordable to them.
In 2017, we purchased 8 units of affordable housing in North Charleston and have been renovating them and housing homeless or disabled veterans who are at risk of homelessness.
Once housed we facilitate coordinated wrap around services including employment and additional vital resources to help them navigate their way to stability.

**We are looking for volunteers to help renovate the remaining housing units.
