There are many youths that don’t have positive role models in their lives. There are very few young adults that can have the opportunity to experience having a mentor by their side. A mentor’s influence is a huge thing that is not talked about a lot in society. Mentors come into a child or young adults’ life when it is most needed. If you feel the calling to become a mentor and guide a young adult on the right path, then you should consider being a Community-Based Precious Mentor. Once you have become a mentor you will be matched with a high schooler and spend 2-3 hours per week for a year together. During this time, you can create a bond with your mentee and engage in different activities such as computer games and so much more. If you live in the Denver area, become a Community-Based Mentor today!

Mission Statement
A Precious Child, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides children in need with opportunities and resources to empower them to achieve their full potential. A Precious Child envisions a future where every child grows up to be a secure, self-reliant, contributing member of their community.
Description
A Precious Child assists children and families facing difficult life challenges such as abuse and neglect, crisis situations, and poverty. We work with more than 300 agency partners throughout eight counties which include Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, Jefferson, and Weld Counties to identify children and families in the most need of our services. Our core initiatives help build the whole child, in addition to meeting basic human needs through our Resource Center, we also help children and their families navigate community resources.
We aim to bridge the gap in a child’s education so that they can become a secure, self-reliant, contributing member of their community as adults.
