ORGANIZATION: Amedisys Hospice of Knoxville
We are looking for volunteers to make companionship visits with our patients in skilled and assisted living facilities. This time can be spent offering companionship thru conversation, sitting with a patient and playing music, reading, or doing activities such a bingo, exercise, painting nails etc. We would like for these visits to be made weekly but have no minimum or maximum time required.

Hospice volunteers provide comfort, compassion and care for people as they near the end of life. There are many ways they can do this such a direct and indirect interactions, bereavement, and administrative task. Every hospice care volunteer brings unique talents and perspectives to the program. Hospice volunteers are an essential part of helping people find hope and meaning in their last months of life.
