Ramapo NYC is an organization that is focused on helping youth thrive in their schools and communities. We are a highly impactful nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that is based in NYC and works with hundreds of schools and communities and thousands of educators, students, and families around the country each year.

Ramapo NYC is the merger of three storied organizations-Ramapo Training, the National School Climate Center, and the Youth Development Institute. Together, they have over 150 years of experience in the fields of teacher training, education research, and positive youth development.

Here Is a bit of information about our board:

• We are in a growth phase for the next 1-2 years, and during that time we are a working board.
• We meet monthly, either by Zoom or in person in our Manhattan offices.
• The board is heavily focused on laying the groundwork for future growth. We are looking for individuals who want to join us in creating a path for success.
• We are looking for educators and academics, financial professionals, people with expertise in legal practices, nonprofit development, and fundraising, and members of our community who are invested in creating positive, equitable school communities.
• We are prioritizing creating an inclusive and representative board, and we encourage all applicants, particularly those from historically marginalized communities.
• We are recruiting for 2-year terms.
• We have a "Give/Get/Arrange" policy, with a goal per board member of $10,000, recognizing that each member has different means to contribute. We will provide fundraising support to all board members.
