ORGANIZATION: Extraordinary Lives Foundation





ELF was founded in 2015, our mission is to improve children's mental health and wellness and support families by providing awareness, educational tools, and resources.



ELF focuses on the following four areas:

Hosting mental health awareness events.

Creating therapeutic tools for children utilizing our Piggie Bear products.

Providing educational resources for parents, parents to be and teachers.

Bridging the gap between traditional and holistic healing options.



As a grassroots organization, we are in the process of building the board strategically and developing our give/get policy. We are looking for a new volunteer Board member to fill the seat of Secretary as our current Secretary needs to step down. The ideal candidate will be energetic, positive and enthusiastic about making a real difference in the world. College degree required.



Role requirements & responsibilities:

Organize and attend monthly board meetings. Meetings are virtual/in-person in Orange County (on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm).

Record and review minutes and distribute them to the full board of directors ideally within 48-hours of the meetings, but no later than 7 days after the meeting.

Candidates must be organized and detail-oriented with the ability to extract and communicate key information from lengthy conversations.

Become familiar with "Robert's Rule of Order" which outlines the full functions of a secretary as well as best practices for recording, approving, and distributing the minutes,

Become the board expert on policies and procedures to ensure that the board is transparent, ethical, and compliant.
