Recruiting Organization: Habitat for Humanity Portland Region

Come join us at our Denney Gardens build site for our Women Build Volunteer Days!

Our Women Build events provide the opportunity for women to take a proactive step in serving their communities. Women Build volunteers learn new skills and teach others-all while working in a supportive and empowering environment.

No experience is necessary to participate. Volunteers will work under the guidance of staff and alongside other volunteers. Whether you are learning new skills or simply adding a few to your tool belt, this is a rewarding experience for all involved, and improves the community that you share. Open to everyone 18 and older.

Women Build is a terrific way to involve your friends in crucial work with a lasting impact. Women helping women sends a positive and powerful message. You can also come alone, and make new friends. The atmosphere is collaborative and friendly. Through volunteer experiences, Women Build encourages volunteer participants and financial supporters to challenge stereotypes, fight all forms of inequality, and advocate for themselves and each other.

Please wear closed-toe shoes (preferable steel-toe), long pants, and comfortable clothing you do not mind becoming dirty. Be sure to bring your own reusable water bottle, a lunch, and sunscreen if you would like to use it. See you out there!
