Are you willing to put your energy into helping thousands of men and women in Asia, Africa, and Latin America escape from extreme poverty? If the idea interests you, thank you and we'd love to talk to you!
We are so proud of the enormous impact volunteers have at Five Talents, our Christian nonprofit. We provide education-focused programs that empower hard-working people, primarily women, to start businesses, break the cycle of poverty, and improve the lives of their families!
A huge amount of what enables us to work in places like Burundi and South Sudan, where conflict, COVID-19, and natural disasters are devastating, is our vibrant volunteer program. Volunteers add passion and skills to our team!
You don’t have to go as far as Africa to make a difference for the brave women and men in our programs. You can volunteer in your own home or in our office near Washington, DC!
Here is the great need we have for research support right now: A universe of foundations is out there waiting to fund Five Talents’ work - we just need to learn about every opportunity. If you’re attracted to learning and good at research, your help in exploring this universe would be a tremendous boost to our grant-writing team. Please help out - having an enthusiastic volunteer in this role can be a game-changer!
While experience in doing research on foundations would be wonderful, we're sure you'll quickly pick up what's needed for this research project. Moreover, the internet has made this kind of project extremely simple.

Description
Five Talents is a micro-enterprise development organization that helps the world’s most vulnerable families escape poverty. Partnering with local churches around the world, we train men and women, mostly women living in extreme poverty, to form savings groups, take out loans, and build their own businesses.
It may seem surprising, but even those living in extreme poverty can save a little each week, start a tiny business, and fulfill their God-given potential. Because most of the participants use their earnings for their children, the result is healthier families, strong and sustainable communities, and vibrant and growing churches.
