Help cancer patients in your community get to life-saving medical appointments.

Road To Recovery volunteers use their personal vehicle to drive people with cancer who have limited or no transportation to treatments. Transportation is the #1 reason for missed cancer appointments. We would love your help!

You choose the rides that work with your schedule. Rides are weekdays. We hope drivers provide 2 rides per month minimum: many help weekly. Depending on the distance, a ride to pick up someone in your county and drive to a cancer treatment appointment may take approximately an hour. Volunteer drivers usually provide the return ride, driving the patient back home after the appointment. Volunteers do not accompany patients to appointments.

Volunteer drivers are ages 18-84 and

  • a safe driving record and reliable vehicle
  • a current license and auto insurance
  • are comfortable using technology (online training, background check, and ride scheduling tool)
