Volunteers are an integral part of fulfilling Frederick Living's mission to provide a continuum of high-quality housing, health care and personal services for older adults. Volunteers give the much appreciated "extras" to our residents on a one-to-one basis, providing companionship and assistance.
We are seeking kind-hearted, compassionate individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of our residents. We can work with your schedule and have many opportunities available, such as:
- Office support
- Accompany on group outings and shopping trips
- Read to residents
- Person to person visits
- Transport to in-house activities, beauty shop, and Sunday services
- Walking outdoors with residents
- Share musical skills-instrumental, vocal
- Play card or board games with residents
- Present programs on your hobbies, travel, or special interests
- Assist recreation staff with special events and activities
- Assist with arts and crafts
- Also, opportunities to help at events for community
