Our Food Pantry has a vehicle that requires an IL Class C license or CDL, and we're building up our list of volunteers who are qualified to drive it. Join our team today!
Drive our large refrigerated truck to area grocery stores to pick up food donations, and transport items back to our Westmont food pantry.
What would make you a good fit for this opportunity?
- You have an IL Class C or CDL license or are open to getting one (we will pay the fee)
- You are available
- weekly on Tuesday mornings 8-10am OR
- as a periodic substitute on another morning
- You are able to lift boxes (up to 40lbs)

Description
Since 1975, People’s Resource Center has been bringing neighbors together to respond to hunger and poverty in DuPage County. With a team of over 1,500 volunteers, we offer nutritious food and other basic necessities like clothes and rent assistance for people facing tough times. And we connect people with resources--education and tutoring, jobs, technology, art, a caring community--to create a future of hope and opportunity for all.
Volunteer at PRC: Help in the food pantry or clothes closet, become a tutor, teach a class, organize a food drive, make a difference to a neighbor in need.
