Rethinking Community looks to promote well-being through inter-community support. A place for community members to remove the mask society has forced them to wear in order to fit in and prosper in society. We are working towards a society where people no longer feel forced to conform to cisgender, heterosexual, abled or white norms. For no one to be silenced. We work directly with community members to raise their voices and power. Position details

  • Maintain and grow volunteer base through outreach to individuals, community-based organizations and groups and colleges/universities

  • Develop and maintain process to review applications and interview potential individual volunteers

  • Manage comprehensive orientation process for new volunteers that includes information about volunteering and task assignments
  • Work closely with all program managers to ensure that volunteer positions are sufficiently filled to meet our needs

  • Maintain volunteer database (will train you on Monday.com)

  • Provide accurate and timely volunteer data for funder and volunteer-requested reports

  • Maintain ongoing communications with volunteers
  • Develop and administer annual volunteer satisfaction survey; compile and report results to the Director
Desired qualifications
  • Ability to volunteer/inter for at least 4 months
  • Knowledge/experiences with the LGBTQ+, BIPOC and/or Disabled communities
  • Willingness to learn our database (Monday.com)


We are looking for 2 Coordinators. One to focus on Rethinking Community and one to focus on our Gender Diverse Lives Coalition project.

Hours per week: 3-5

WEis a Consciousness, a Campaign, and a Collaboration of people, organizations and social change movements from around the world.

Imagine 4 times a year, groups like MoveOn, Greenpeace and Amnesty International coordinating their action campaigns with hundreds of other global organizations, thousands of smaller groups and millions of people around the world, shifting societal consciousness and creating political will.

We, The World has developed the Strategic Alliances and has the team to achieve that level of global collaboration and effectiveness. In 2004, We, The World launched 11 Days of Global Unity which now annually has more than 700 associated events in over 60 countries. WE Campaign is based on the successful model of 11 Days of Global Unity Campaign.
