Heritage Hospice is seeking creative and compassionate individuals to join our team of Memory Bear sewers!

Our sewing volunteers share their time and talents to transform the clothing of patients into keepsakes -- teddy bears and pillows -- for our grieving families. Bears and pillows are sewn from gently worn items of the patient’s clothing, such as a flannel shirt or favorite dress. These special keepsakes are a beautiful reminder of cherished memories after the loss of a loved one, and can provide comfort and a sense of security to the recipient.

Volunteers must own and have experience with a sewing machine and be able to follow a pattern. Stuffing and patterns are provided by Heritage Hospice, and compassionate creativity is provided by you!

All volunteers are integral and well-loved members of our team, and are provided with training and ongoing support.
