Sharing your compassion, talents and expertise with us is what makes becoming a volunteer at Bristol Health such a rewarding experience. Our volunteers are integral to creating a Welcome and Comfortable healing environment for our community.
At Bristol Health, we recognize that time is one of your most valuable assets. Wherever you chose to serve, your added compassion at the bedside and dedication to our mission is vital to Bristol Health’s success. You can help make our hospital a very special place. Volunteers truly walk out our mission well helping us: "Care Today for Your Tomorrow."
What you need to know about being a Patient Partner Volunteer:
Being a part of our Patient Experience Team is extremely rewarding. As a member of this remarkable team you will be interacting with our patients and families, staff and community! Patient partner volunteers help our patients feel comforted, secure and ensure their needs are being met each and everyday.
As a Patient Partner Volunteer you will meet and greet new patients, and introduce patients and families to the Patient Relations Program and the Patient Bill of Rights. Our patient representatives offer support, act as a resource and report any patient concern(s) to the Patient Experience Team. These volunteers also check patients to ensure personal items are within reach, make sure patients understand how to utilize their call bells and make sure their needs are met. Even and especially when our patients need a listening ear and caring word.
