Teach Yoga for Recovery and Hope!

ORGANIZATION: Victory Programs

  • 5 people are interested

We are seeking volunteers to teach yoga at Victory Programs' Victory Connector! Located at the heart of the Massachusetts Avenue and Melnea Cass Blvd. neighborhood, the Victory Connector is a crucial harm reduction program designed to engage the most entrenched, street-based homeless individuals who are reluctant to connect with other systems of care.

At our program, we provide support through different learning experiences and health, such as yoga. Yoga gives our clients the opportunity for connection, relaxation, and exercise. Teaching yoga to our clients lets you do what you love while helping your community.

We are looking for a yoga teacher who has experience working with diverse populations such as those with mental health concerns and substance use disorders. While specific training is not required, we hope to find someone who is open to learning and provides a safe space for all.

We can work with your schedule to find a time that works best for you and our staff!

This is an in-person opportunity so you must be vaccinated for COVID-19.
