HELP OUT: Drive Thru Diaper Distribution

ORGANIZATION: Miracle Babies



Since the COVID-19 pandemic started, Miracle Babies has been hosting diaper distributions open to all San Diego County residents in need of diapers. The diapers are free and help reduce the financial burden and stress that often comes with needing to purchase diapers.

During the first shift volunteers will unload the diapers and supplies and set up for the distribution. This group will start the distribution which includes placing diapers and other items directly into recipients' vehicles. During the second shift, the incoming volunteers will take over the distribution and help with breaking down boxes and cleaning up/tearing down the event. Both shifts will help with loading and unloading diapers from a Uhaul truck as well as managing the lines of cars.

Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes

Attire: Closed-toe shoes with comfortable lightweight clothing that can get a little dirty. The distribution takes place outdoors with little or no shade so volunteers should wear sun protection such as sunscreen or a hat.

Bring: Water

Physical Requirements: Bending, lifting over 15 lbs, standing, and walking throughout the duration of the distribution. Unfortunately this opportunity is not able to make accommodations for individuals with physical limitations and the space where this project takes place is not wheelchair accessible.

Weather: This opportunity takes place rain or shine.

Note: There is no restroom at this project location.
