Read-Aloud Volunteer Program will be going to Nevin Community Center to read to/with small groups of 6-8 year olds attending Camp Achieve. Spread the joy of reading by making stories fun and helping give away books.
Must have English reading comprehension to 4th grade, be willing to mask, get background checked.

Mission Statement

Read-Aloud Volunteer Program is a relationship-based program that fosters in children the joy and love of learning through reading and story-telling.

Description

Our goal is to help young children (K through 2nd grade) develop a love of reading. Each child in the program is matched with an adult volunteer for a reading session every week. Children receive gift books throughout the program year to help them start and build their own library.
