Community Engagement Volunteer | 15 years - Adult Community Engagement Volunteers play an integral role in enhancing the Hillsboro Community. If you are someone who cares deeply about making sure community members are active in the decision making processes at the City of Hillsboro, this assignment is for you! Community Engagement Volunteers are Hillsboro advocates - they are out in the community collecting information, ideas, asking key questions, and help frame future growth opportunities. This assignment varies with each community engagement initiative and may include: tabling at a market, collecting survey data at gatherings or specific events, serving on an advisory board or focus group and interacting with children by reading books, completing art/craft projects and capturing the ideas and suggestions of our youngest generation of Hillsboroites. Bilingual volunteers are preferred, but not mandatory. This is a great assignment for volunteer age 15 and older who are comfortable talking and interacting with people of all ages.
