Why do people want to volunteer for Hospice?
For many drawn to hospice, it is a calling. You may have had a family member on hospice or some other experience that makes you want to give back. Perhaps you are seeking a career in Healthcare. Perhaps you just understand that those who are isolated in illness, benefit from the compassionate presence of someone.
Mission Hospice patient care volunteers provide patient companionship to patients, offer caregiver relief for exhausted family members, and emotional support. Volunteers are considered a part of the clinical team and visits patients based on a plan of care.
