Patient Care

Why do people want to volunteer for Hospice?

Like everyone drawn to hospice, it is a calling. You may have had a family member on hospice or some other experience that makes you want to give back. Perhaps you are seeking a career in Healthcare. Many of us have had to wait during COVID to make a difference: to our patients, co-workers, families and to ourselves. Now we are able to do so. Training includes infection control precautions and making sure we continue to protect those at end of life, and those that care for them.. Patient Care Volunteers provide a copy of their Covid-19 Vaccination Record.

Mission Hospice patient care volunteers provide patient companionship, offer caregiver relief, and deliver specialty services like massage, music, pet therapy, and haircuts to our patients. Help us meet the post pandemic need. Extensive training is provided. Be a part of the Mission Hospice Team.

Please visit http://homewithmission.com/services/hospice/volunteer-services to apply online or call 619-814-6026 for more information. We hope to hear from you soon!
