The Board member will assist Green City Challenge with operational, financial, governance and fundraising matters. The Board member position is completely voluntary. There is no salary. The organization has no paid staff so this is a working board and board members must help out as much as possible to help the organization function. We prefer that the board member be a resident of New York City so they can staff public and educational events in the New York City area.

Green City Challenge has designed and created several fun and interactive activities that teach people of all ages about sustainability.
We recently launched the Traveling Green City Challenge Program to bring our activities into New York City public schools.
