Volunteers Needed for Medical Heroes Appreciation 5K

On Tuesday, June 18th, local community members, patients, and research professionals will come together to celebrate "Medical Heroes" aka those who participate in clinical research to make new medical treatments possible for everyone. Run or walk the 5K course, enjoy a light breakfast, and have a chance to win prizes with a bib raffle!

The course begins at 222 Marina Park Way in front of the Rady Shell at Jacobs Park (South Embarcadero).

We are looking for volunteers to help us with the following:

  • Set up & clean up
  • Welcoming people/directing them from the parking lot
  • Registration table
  • Bag check
  • Water station
  • Refreshment table
  • Photo station
  • Handing out medals and goodie bags
We are in need of volunteers from 5:30AM to 8:15AM. You will receive a free t-shirt!

The Center for Information and Study on Clinical Research Participation (CISCRP) was founded in 2003, and is a non-profit organization dedicated to engaging the public and patients as partners in the clinical research process. As part of its mission, CISCRP provides a variety of award-winning resources, programs and services that are designed to assist clinical research stakeholders in understanding public and patient attitudes and experiences in research as well as improving volunteer participation experiences and satisfaction.
