POSITION SUMMARY- Purpose of position and relevance to BRHS mission
Our Dog Walker volunteers work directly with the dogs in our care at the Adoption Center to provide socialization, walking, cuddling, training, and whatever else they need during their stay with us. A shelter environment can be a very stressful place for dogs. Our Dog Walker volunteers will help us provide a high quality of life and reduce stress in dogs while they are on site with us and make a huge difference in these animals’ lives while they await adoption. They will also help to provide detailed behavior information to assist in successful adoptions for these animals. Dog Walker volunteers will also assist with other tasks such as laundry, dishes, washing cages, and other tasks as needed to assist with providing high quality care for animals on site.
