ORGANIZATION: Blue Ridge Humane Society

POSITION SUMMARY- Purpose of position and relevance to BRHS mission
Our Cat Cuddler volunteers work directly with the cats in our care at the Adoption Center to provide socialization, cuddling, training, and whatever else they need during their stay with us. A shelter environment can be a very stressful place for cats. Our Cat Cuddler volunteers will help us provide a high quality of life and reduce stress in cats while they are on site with us and make a huge difference in these animals’ lives while they await adoption. They will also help to provide detailed behavior information to assist in successful adoptions for these animals. Cat Cuddler volunteers will also assist with other tasks such as cleaning litter boxes, dishes, washing cages, and other tasks as needed to assist with providing high quality care for animals on site.
