Want to connect with a network of peers who share your passion for healthy food and community service? Do you enjoy chopping, cooking, and packaging meals?

Lifelong is seeking motivated volunteers to help out in our Chicken Soup Brigade Kitchen to prepare and package medically tailored meals for clients who are living with serious illnesses. Our Kitchen Volunteers play an important role in helping homebound individuals maintain their health and independence by preparing delicious and nutritious meals. No cooking experience is necessary! Our chefs will assign tasks based on each volunteer's skill and comfort level.

The need is greater now than ever and our food programs rely on volunteers!

Millions of people continue to face challenges with putting food on the table. Lifelong is working incredibly hard and safely throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to distribute nutritious meals to vulnerable community members.

Shift Times:

Mondays through Fridays 9:30am-12:00pm; 1:30pm-4:00pm; 5:30pm-7:30pm

Saturdays and Sundays 10:30am-1pm; 2:30pm-5:00pm

Stay Safe While Volunteering!

COVID-19 Precautions: Lifelong is dedicated to keeping clients, volunteers and staff as safe as possible. All volunteers must be vaccinated against COVID-19, wear appropriate face coverings, wash hands frequently, and stay at home if they or a family member isn't feeling well. We have included additional safety measures to ensure proper social distancing within the Kitchen and Warehouse. The health and well-being of our volunteers, staff and clients are our top priority and we are actively following CDC safety guidelines to maintain a safe volunteering experience.
