Boyce Thompson Arboretum is currently looking for Visitor's Center Host Volunteers (from September 2022 - December 2022) and Education Host Volunteers (from October 2022 - May 2023) for the 2022/2023 season.
Single occupants work 30 hours/week and couples work 20 hours/week (40 hours total for couples) in exchange for an RV site with full hookup, two full bathrooms and washer/dryer that can be used 24/7 at no cost. We do not provide Wi-Fi, cable or propane service, but you are welcome to bring-in and set them up on your own.
Duties for our Visitors Center department include watering retail nursery, taking admissions, gift shop cashier, event assistance, and other various tasks. Duties for our Education department include leading educational tours, roving the Arboretum, working with school groups, event assistance, and other various tasks.
Previous experience is preferred, but not required. Volunteers typically work 4 days on, 3 days off with vacation weeks available. For more information and to apply, please send your resume to: Emily.Smolenski@btarboretum.org.

Description
As you approach the Arboretum on Highway 60, you will see towering Picketpost Mountain dominating the southern horizon. The Arboretum brings together plants from the planet's many varied deserts and dry lands displaying them alongside unspoiled examples of the native Sonoran Desert vegetation.
