Learn and assist in a professional animal facility as is provided in Association of Zoo and Aquarium accredited institutions throughout the US, for native fish and reptiles, as well as native and exotic amphibians. After initial hands-on training, volunteers will be expected to accomplish daily husbandry tasks independently.

Time Commitment:

  • A full semester or summer commitment (usually 3-4 months).
  • Minimum of one 4 hour shift per week.
Shifts Times:
  • Shifts available 7 days a week!
  • Morning Shifts: 7 - 11am
  • Afternoon Shifts: 12 - 4pm


What do I need to be successful in this position?

Applicants should be able to work independently, be active, enthusiastic, detail-oriented, reliable, and willing to get wet and/or dirty! Occasional heavy lifting (up to 60 pounds) may be required.
