Position

The NOMV Gala is our annual volunteer appreciation event and takes place during our annual in person Board Meeting. The Lead Event Planner will have the opportunity to shape the very first in person fun celebratory NOMV Gala recognizing the accomplishments of our amazing volunteers!

Tasks

• Lead a team of volunteers to ensure a successful event
• Serve as primary point of contact for the NOMV Gala event
• Assist with onsite setup & breakdown on Nov. 18th, 2022 in St. Petersburg, FL
• Coordinate with NOMV Marketing & Communications Coordinator to publicize event
• Host (or identify a host) for the live gala

Setting

The majority of the role will be remote (video calls, emails, phone calls, etc.), but this position requires in person attendance at the NOMV Gala which this year will be hosted in the greater Tampa Bay area on November 18, 2022. Venue and site are not confirmed at this point, but it’s expected to take place in St. Petersburg, Florida. Individuals located in the Tampa Bay area will receive preference for this role.

Schedule/Commitment

This role is expected to be an annual commitment with the option to renew if desired. During the planning phase July - October, the time commitment is expected to be 1-2 hours per week with the majority of those hours being flexible (pick your schedule). During November the weeks leading up to the event will likely take progressively more time up to about 4 hours per week. During the event on Nov. 18th it’s expected that this person will be onsite from approximately 5 PM - 9 PM to assist with the event.

Training/Primary NOMV Contact

This role collaborates with the NOMV Program Manager and will include an individualized training plan which will include at a minimum, 1 hour of suicide prevention training.
