Recruiting Organization: Creating Common Ground

Our nation is divided. We need ways to bring people together. We need people not only to learn to listen to each other, but also to learn to solve problems together. That is the mission of Creating Common Ground.

Creating Common Ground does this by providing:

• Online education -- with both free and paid versions -- that teach people how to bridge divides in interpersonal, organizational and political disputes.
• An online magazine -- Creating Common Ground Magazine -- devoted to publishing articles, podcasts and discussions that propose real solutions to entrenched social and political problems.

We are looking for volunteers to fill a variety of positions to help us build Creating Common Ground from the Ground Up. We seek volunteers who are willing to work with us in order to turn your volunteer positions into paid positions. If you are the right person -- motivated, creative and willing to work hard -- we might be interested in a business partnership.

We seek:

• Managing Editor of Creating Common Ground Magazine. Work with the director to receive submissions, seek additional review when needed, edit them, accept them, and post them to the website.
• Fundraising/Marketing/Financial. We seek people who can do some or all of the following: raise funds, keep the books, write grants, run capital campaigns, and market Creating Common Ground. We need your expertise.
• Technical Support. We need people to help us build professional videos, podcasts and other forms of journalistic and instructional materials to communicate our message.
