Recruiting Organization: Save Ancient Studies Alliance

Save Ancient Studies Alliance is looking for a Video Editor to edit short videos and clips.

This is a completely remote, volunteer position. The role will include editing various videos that will be posted/used to promote SASA's goal of educating others about Ancient Studies. This job requires you to have your own editing equipment and software. The Video Editor must employ creative discretion and have effective communication skills to discuss the video with the SASA team as well as update them about any additional materials required for the completion of a video.

This position is most well-suited for someone with prior video editing experience, understanding of and accessibility to video editing software, and familiarity with historical video games, such as Assassin’s Creed. Additionally, this position is best for someone comfortable working independently and remotely on a creative project.

• Using creative discretion in putting together videos
• Using own software to create such content
• Communicating with the SASA Team about video updates and potential issues (i.e., the need for reshoots) that may arise

Necessary skills:

• Video editing experience
• Access to editing software
• Familiarity with historical video games
• Creative discretion
• Ability to convey creative ideas both verbally and visually
• Attention to detail
• Good editorial judgment
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work remotely
• Experience or familiarity with Assassin’s Creed, Civilization, Rome: Total War, or similar games is a plus
