This is a seasonal position and follows the hatching of songbird babies. Anticipated start date is early April and anticipated end date is early October. In addition to feeding, duties include keeping babies and cages clean, food prep and light housekeeping including dishes, laundry, and floors. There are 4 3-hour shifts daily and a lot of flexibility in scheduling. Orientation required.

This position accepts applicants 16 years of age.

  • morning / 07:45 AM to 11:00 AM
  • 11:00 AM to 02:00 PM
  • 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM
  • 05:00 PM to 08:30 PM
  • NONE OF THESE TIMES WORK FOR ME, BUT I CAN STILL HELP

Carolina Waterfowl Rescue (CWR) is non profit 501c3 wildlife rescue organization located in Charlotte, NC. CWR is run by federally licensed wildlife rehabilitators who provide sanctuary, rescue, and rehabilitation for wildlife, farmed, and exotic animals.

Description

Founded over 20 years ago, CWR is not only federally licensed to care for wildlife, but also accepts domestic animals that may otherwise not have sanctuary or medical care. Over the years we've helped countless chickens, ducks and geese as well as a variety of reptiles, and farm animals including an emu! Annually we admit over 7000 patients to our care.
