Mission Statement
Mental illness, particularly suicide, is extremely stigmatized within and outside of our society. Our mission? To make talking about and seeking help for mental illness and suicide less taboo.
Description
Our beloved son and brother, Alan Stephen Katamanin, at the age of 31, took his life on March 11th, 2021.
In memory of Alan Stephen Katamanin, the Katamanin family has founded the ASK For Help Foundation. The money donated will go into a 501(c)3 Non Profit organization called ASK For Help Foundation. The purpose of this Foundation is to fund the creation of a clinic for individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, PTSD, and grief. This facility will aim to offer free therapeutic services for family members who have lost their loved ones to suicide, along with individuals who are struggling with mental health and suicidal ideations. Ultimately, our purpose is to preclude the prevalence of this tragedy in other homes.
Aside from accepting monetary donations, our board of directors will also be organizing fundraisers and events to raise awareness for the foundation and suicide prevention.
Thank you, in advance, for your support.
