Getting our dogs into their fur-ever homes is just the start of their next chapter! It can take a lot of work and time for our adopters and their new pups to settle into their lives together, but our team is there to support them through every twist and turn. The Adoptions Behavior & Transition Specialists work together to address behavioral challenges via email to help get adopters on the right path moving forward. The individual in this role must have basic knowledge of dog behaviors and be motivated to learn about various training techniques as different cases arise. It’s a huge plus if they have experience working with or adopting rescue dogs! This role is handled mainly via email, so clear and empathetic writing skills are a must. One of our primary goals for our alumni team is to keep our adopters and their dogs together, even when time's get tough. You will have a direct hand in making an impact in their lives!

Hearts & Bones Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization composed of a network of fosters and volunteers who collaborate to rescue shelter dogs and find them loving, forever homes. Every day, there are thousands of animals killed in America's shelters because they do not have homes. As a foster-based rescue, we focus on providing all of our dogs with secure and caring environments while they wait for their forever families. At Hearts & Bones, all of our dogs are 100% certified pre-loved.
Description
Hearts & Bones Rescue is an all-breed dog rescue composed of a network of fosters and volunteers who collaborate to rescue dogs from shelters in the south to find them loving, forever homes. Every day, there are thousands of animals killed in America's shelters because they do not have homes.
Prior to adoption, Hearts & Bones Rescue spays/neuters, vaccinates, and works through various medical issues for each of our adoptable dogs. We then place the dogs directly into forever homes or transfer to our dedicated rescue partners.
So, why "Hearts & Bones"? Rescue requires not only the heart, or compassion and love, for the animals that are in need, but also the bones - the grit, the strength, and the persistence to rescue these dogs from their former lives to give them the opportunity at a second chance.
