The Volunteer Recognition and Appreciation Lead oversees the development and implementation of both formal and informal recognition efforts.

Volunteer Recognition and Appreciation Lead

• Develop, manage, and implement a volunteer recognition program
• Work with program leads to identify volunteers to recognize
• Facilitate communication with volunteers on recognition efforts, to include writing regular content for the HSLC volunteer newsletter highlighting member accomplishments
• Organize volunteer recognition programs and special events, and coordinate with Community Engagement Lead
• Communicate regular updates to Volunteer Coordinator

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic about HSLC mission and programs
• Understanding of the value of volunteers
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Work well both individually and with others
• Ability to enter and manage volunteer data appropriately within a database
• Ability to actively engage with volunteers and program leads
• Ability to initiate projects with limited direction
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
• Ability to prioritize appropriately when facing multiple responsibilities and tasks.

Time Commitment: Approximately 8 hours per month, working remotely and in person. If working remotely, will need to work virtually with local volunteer team to plan and execute events.
