YWCA programs and services have helped our community’s vulnerable populations. Our Senior Center programs, in particular, support empowerment and dignity for our seniors through much more than a meal. Many are isolated and have no family or support system. Our programs provide a lifeline allowing our senior to age in place.
Our Heat Relief Bundles will provide electrolyte packets, water bottles, and fruit cups in the event of a power outage, something that older adults unfortunately could face on a limited income. We are helping older adults stay cool this summer. Would you consider hosting a donation drive or collection items for our homebound friends?

Description
The YWCA Metropolitan Phoenix is a non-profit, social services organization that has been making a positive difference in people's lives in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area since 1912. The YWCA Metropolitan Phoenix improves the quality of community life by advocating for positive change benefiting children, empowering women and girls, economic advancement, racial justice and eliminating racism. Delivering essential programs and services, the YWCA changes the lives of women, seniors and those seeking respect in a multicultural community.
To help understand and actively combat racism and sexism, our equity program’s offer learning sessions and workshops. Our prosperity programs, empower women to take control of their financial independence through free virtual financial education classes. Supporting seniors independence and the dignity of aging in place, we home deliver meals to seniors in the Glendale area and provide a senior community center.
