Support Blood Service activities by competently and professionally presenting Red Cross Biomedical Service National Volunteer Scheduling Team Training Material to new volunteers. This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) Biomedical Services (BIO) team. This is a 100% virtual (volunteer-from-home) opportunity.
- Orient and train new volunteers to American Red Cross Blood Services, NVST Processes (Volunteer connection, Scheduling, Google Voice, Microsoft Teams Meetings, Daily Activity Log, etc.)
- Work effectively to ensure new NVST members are trained within 14 days of their approval
- Continuously evaluate training material and suggest changes as identified.
- Attend relevant meetings and updates
- Provide weekly status update to NVST Leadership at the end of training
- Retrain and coach volunteers as needed
- Reliable access to resources needed to volunteer 100% virtually
Qualifications:
- Willingness to support Red Cross mission - Required
- High level leadership and organizational skills - Required
- Willing to be a creative team member - Required
- Ability to model superior customer service skills Required
- Previous Teaching/Training or Presentation Experience - Required
- Excellent communication, customer service, and public relations abilities - Required
- Experience using Microsoft Teams - Preferred (can be trained)
