We are seeking new diverse and qualified individuals to join our Board of Directors!

About Us

Founded in 1972, our mission is to improve lives and create bright futures for people we serve by providing mental health, child welfare and support services in Napa, Solano and Sonoma Counties.

Board Member Duties

Influence and develop policy

Participate in fundraising

Build community relationships

Provide budgetary oversight

Participate in strategic planning

Assisting the CEO and Board Chair

Representing to stakeholders as an Aldea ambassador

Philanthropic contributions

Attend quarterly board meetings

Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:

Extensive professional experience with significant executive leadership accomplishments in business, government, philanthropy or the nonprofit sector.

A commitment to and understanding of Aldea's clients, preferrably based on experience.

Savvy diplomatic skills and a natural affinity for cultivating relationships and persuading, convening, facilitating, and building consensus among diverse individuals.

Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a passion for improving the lives of Aldea's beneficiaries.

Service on Aldea's Board of Directors is without remuneration, except for administrative support, travel and accommodation costs in relation to Board Members' duties.
