Braille Institute is looking for volunteers to teach classes in beginning ukelele or guitar at our beautiful Santa Barbara Center. Students are blind and visually impaired adults. No experience in working with visually impaired is necessary -- we will provide training. Come join our Volunteer Team!

2 Shifts

  • morning / 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM
    Various mornings are available for classes, Monday through Friday.
  • afternoon / 01:00 PM to 02:30 PM
    Various afternoons are available for classes, Monday through Friday.

Description

Braille Institute offers a variety of services to people who are blind and visually impaired, from mobility and technology training, to low vision rehabilitation and home visits, to arts and exercise classes, to a vast library of braille and audio titles for every age, and more. Each year, we help tens of thousands of people regain and maintain their independence. Thanks to generous donations, Braille Institute services are available free of charge.
