Everyday American Red Cross Blood Services Volunteers help support our lifesaving mission invaluable ways.
Currently, we need community volunteers to serve as Blood Donor Ambassadors in Blacksburg, VA.
Blood Donor Ambassadors help to provide excellent and professional customer service in a medical setting and enhance the donor experience. According to the appointment priority system, these volunteers manage the reception process by ensuring each donor is greeted and assisted with initial intake.
Location: American Red Cross Donation Center, 250 Main St. Ste 200. Free garage parking for volunteers.
Volunteer shifts are 7:45 am to 11:45 am, and 11:45 am to 3:45 pm.- Volunteers are needed every day of the week, except Thursday, weekends included.
Minimum requirements:
· One 4-6-hour shift per month for six months
· Professional, clear, and diplomatic communication skills
· Comfortable approaching and greeting people
